UPDATE FOR THE 2025/2026 SEASON:
With prayerful consideration, we will NOT be offering classes for this school year. It’s a changing season with some teachers with new babies and others moving away or needing to focus on their families. I am SO thankful for our 10 wonderful years of Upbeat and hope that at some point in the future we’ll be able to offer classes again. Such a BITTERSWEET season!! All the best to you and your families!

Salem Upbeat Music is a private Christian music program for students ages 3-18.
We offer fun, enriching, & educational choir, band and violin classes!
For students younger than age 7, the Junior Choir will be the perfect fit with engaging music in a fun-filled environment. Kids Choir is a great environment for kids ages 7-12 to learn and enjoy singing through
various activities and song selections! Your teenagers will gain confidence in our Teen Choir both as individual singers and also together through specific instruction and enjoyable repertoire.
We also offer Beginning Band as well as Intermediate Band for students ages 10-18. Students will enjoy learning a brass or woodwind instrument in this group setting. No experience is necessary for Beginning Band!
For students interested in violin, we offer group violin classes for ages 7-18 for varying levels. Our Beginning Violin Class is great for kids who are just starting out on violin. The Intermediate Violin Class is great for kids who have had at least 1-2 years of private or group lesson experience.
Once-a-week rehearsals are every Thursday afternoon for 12 weeks in the fall and 12 weeks in the spring.
